Woo-hoo! My unlucky streak must be over...yeah right, but several hundred people entered this contest and I was one of the lucky three to win a brand spanking new copy of this book.
I believe we lost a great man this year and I'm really looking forward to reading more about this political icon, this "lion" of the Senate. Unlike some who've recently published memoirs..., ahem, Ted Kennedy had a captivating and full life. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
Special thanks to Bookin' with Bingo for hosting this giveaway.

Congratulations, Lula! Must be your great liberal karma, or else the contest was stacked, and they said, 'let's give this book to the person who would most appreciate it' ...
I collect political memorabilia, and I have lots of Kennedy items (buttons, stickers, cards). One of my favorite items is a 1972 TIME magazine cover of Ted Kennedy autographed by the Senator. I got it for a bargain; I think it must be worth a few more bucks now.
Ooo fun! I bet that is worth something. I love old stuff, political or no. And new stuff too. My mother was just in Hawaii and brought me back an Obama bobblehead. He's dressed in a Hawaiian shirt, shorts and flip-flops. It's awesome!
In fact, I should post a picture of it!
Definitely post a picture of it! I have a display of presidential figurines made by Marx (yup, I must be a Marxist) toys in its original stand, complete to include President Obama. This is what they look like:

One can find anything on eBay ... :)
Sometimes winning IS everything!
Congrats Lula! It looks like a great book to read - it's on my TBR list!
Thanks Christina and Laura! I'm still waiting for it to get here. Really looking forward to it!
