William Ayers- The Unrepentant Terrorist??

"Demonization, guilt by association, and the politics of fear did not triumph, not this time. Let's hope they never will again. And let's hope we might now assert that in our wildly diverse society, talking and listening to the widest range of people is not a sin, but a virtue."

William Ayers, NY Times article Dec 6, 2008.

I've never heard such wild, radical 'terrorist' thinking in my life.

I find it interesting that those of us who profess to be religious, non-judgemental and kind to those who have made mistakes, will allow no other's to do the same. That Obama has been held accountable and tainted for just talking to someone who has made mistakes in his past, or who preaches from a pulpit in his church, reeks of hypocrisy.

Is that what its come to in life? If I want to run for public office must I always perform a background check on everybody that's in the same room with me from the beginnings of my adult life? Must I choose which city I'm from carefully lest its torrid political history be held against me?

I find it sad, and silly, and just plain dumb. (Oh sorry, can I say that word??)

What I find hypocritical is that so many republicans are jumping at this scandal in Chicago and saying how horrible democrats are and that they need to clean up their party. That republicans have bad apples too but that republicans clean up their party. Anyone remember Larry Craig?? Well the republicans jumped all over that and wanted him out. Very convenient that his state, Idaho, had a republican governor so if he was ousted a republican would be put in his place. What about Senator Vittner who actually admitted to being a client of the DC Madam? He actually had the affair whereas Craig only solicited it. Why didn’t they try and get rid of Vittner like they did Craig? Maybe it was because he was in a state with a democratic governor and republicans would lose his seat if they created a fuss… hmm… suspicious anyone? So don’t go saying democrats need to clean up their party, it goes both ways.

And I find it very insulting to say all politicians are horrible because of bad apples in the bunch. I happen to personally know some very honorable politicians. To say such stupid comments like they use their own money to get into power so they don’t need a paycheck is ludicrous. My father, who was an elected official for over a decade, went into debt to get elected and I know this happens quite often. Stop making blatant idiotic comments, it makes you sound ignorant.

You guys are so funny! I am not sure what to say- I was so angry at what was said about Dems on the Moms site that I had to comment, and I guess I will just leave it at that- it sounds like you both read it. Luckily Obama isn't connected at all, or at least it appears that way...

Now that everyone's had a chance to air their "laundry", I wanted to make one more quick entreaty.

I didn't post all the comments on this one because I'm trying to ease myself back into blogging and I wasn't in the mood for a heated debate back and forth, as I'm trying to Christmas shop and would like to do something besides...this. Everybody got to say their peace either on this site or the other one, so let's just leave it at that, for now. So, I'm closing the comments here.

There are more contributors to this blog now. I'm going to leave it up to the post author's as to whether or not they want to moderate comments or even allow comments at all on what they write. Sometimes you just want to get something off your big boobed chest without being critiqued.

If anybody has something they want to address, I'm open to guest contributors, as long as it runs with the theme of the blog, which means it's pretty much a free-for-all!! Just no lecturing please!!
There's a link to my email on my profile. Send it to me and I'll post it for you.

Good to be back. I think.

Now on to Interior Secretary Kempthorne...the idiot.:o)
